Food has been the center of my professional life for the past seven years. What began as a first job in a 1967 Airstream Trailer Foodtruck (selling the best Bacon, Egg, and Cheese one could ever have) eventually grew into a passion for craftsmanship, hospitality, and the relationships that form when people come together around food. Today, I serve as Head Chef at BKLYN Larder in Brooklyn, NY. Working alongside and leading a team of talented people has been one of the most rewarding parts of the role, challenging me to grow not only as a cook, but as a communicator, mentor, and leader.

Currently, I am helping lead the opening of a second Manhattan location of BKLYN Larder in late 2026. The opportunity to help build something from the ground up has been one of the most challenging and rewarding learning experiences of my career so far. The images below offer a glimpse into some of the food, projects, and experiences that have shaped my culinary journey so far..

G-TOM: Marinated Green Tomatoes, Arugula, Garlic Oil, Lioni Mozzarella, Housemade Focaccia

Malted Maple Carrot Cake

BKLYN Larder Grazing Boards: Monger selected cheeses from around the world

Catch to Plate: Cornish Scallops
